IRP

Individual Research Paper (IRP) is the central research project accomplished by each course member of National Defence Course and Armed Forces War Course. Every course member is assisted, guided and sponsored by two experts. One is an academic adviser from different public or private universities and the other is a Senior Directing Staff (SDS) /Directing Staff (DS) of National Defence College (NDC). The aim of the IRP is to enable the Course Members to make an original contribution to a subject of national or international interest, or that has a bearing on the National Security and Development. The paper has to be based on facts that are objectively analysed and course members enjoy complete freedom in their research work. At the end of both the courses three best IRPs are selected and awarded with certificate. And a good number of selected IRPs are published in the bi-annual NDC Journal. The College also sends few selected papers to the related Ministry or Organisation for further Selected and study and consideration.
