Major Sk Golam Mohiuddin, East Bengal was born in December 1966 at Patuakhali. He was Commissioned with 13th BMA Long Course in the Infatry Regiment on 20 December 1985.
He served in five different infantry units and in one Bangladesh Rifles unit. During his service in Bangladesh Rifles unit, he achieved a galantary award named ‘Presidents Rifles Madel’ for an operational incident at Kazipur border in Meherpur district in the year of 1991. He served at various staff appointment at unit level. He also served as instructor class-B at Non Comissioned Officers’ Academy as Wing Commander, Trainning Support Wing and General Staff Officer -2 at Counter Insurgency Branch of HQ 24 Infantry Division as well as at AHQ Military Trainning Directorate. Presently he is serving as General Staff Officer-2 (Allied Coordination Cell) at National Defence College.
Maj Mohiuddin attended number of courses. Beside the mendotery courses, he did Phisical Trainning Course, Computer Course, Basic intellegent Course and Arabic Language Course. He did his bachelor digree in Social Studies from National University.
He participated in United Nations Iraq Kuwait Observer Mission with Bangladesh Battalion and Operation Kuwait Punorgothon with Bangladesh Contingent in Kuwait. He has visited number of countries like Kuwait, Egypt, Chaina, Malayasia, Germany, Singapore, Saudi Arabia and India. He is happily married with Asma Perveen and proud father of a daughter Nahian Salsabeel who is studying her A levels. He enjoys travelling, various sports, watching movies and reading.
